AT THE LITTLE FLEET, TRAVERSE CITY, MICHIGAN

Nomo

Nomo

Genre-busting ensemble NOMO make their long-awaited return to Traverse City at All Call Music Festival. What began as a sprawling collective packing college basements and the local rock club distilled to a core of six tightly-knit touring musicians, playing stages at Montreal Jazz Festival, Bonnaroo, Pitchfork Music Festival, and Spain's World Music Expo. NOMO has been called 'a sonic maelstrom' (NPR), 'eight-headed future-jazz geniuses' (Alternative Press), and 'a true innovator with a style totally its own' (Pitchfork).

Tunde Olaniran

tunde olaniran

From Flint, Michigan, Tunde Olaniran is a Nigerian-American songwriter whose approach most closely resembles the kitchen-sink genre pastiche of M.I.A. or the silly perceptiveness and electronic experimentation of rap acts like Das Racist. The product is a pitch-perfect mashup of pop-leaning underground music.

Referred to as ”a masterclass in self-reflection and female autonomy,” the first pressing sold out within 24 hours and received critical acclaim from Noisey, Stereogum, Paste, Gold Flake Paint, Chicago Tribune, and more.

V.V. Lightbody has been a collaborator and touring member of bands such as Lala Lala, Divino Niño, Finom, Elizabeth Moen, and recently started a duo called Valebol featuring drummer Daniel Villarreal-Carrillo (Dos Santos).
